PROGRAMS
Serving up to 21 girls at a time, we offer care 24-hours a day to girls 11-19 years old. Girls typically come into our care because they are victims of abuse or neglect. We provide a wide range of services and activities in a structured environment.
Charged with the important care of young women and with fiscally managing money that our community has generously given, the services that we provide are based upon a research-based model proven to provide the best possible outcomes for youth with emotional issues. We began implementation of this model in October of 2008 and are working toward certification. For more information on this model, visit www.teaching-family.org.
WHAT ARE INTERMEDIATE GROUP AND LOW MANAGEMENT GROUP CARE?
Caseworkers from social services, adoption agencies, and juvenile justice are tasked with determining what type of care is best forachild when sheis unable to return to her home. Sometimes they determine that group care is the best option and they refer her to us for ongoing, residential care.We offer group care for moderateand low management levels. Both levels of care provide trained staff around the clock who assist as girls work on their personal goals. Girls in both types of care typically come from similar backgrounds. However, girls in moderate care have a formal diagnosis such as depression or anxiety, due to the traumas that they have endured. Girls in moderate care are offered additional therapy a more structured environment, and increased staff to resident ratios as they heal from their experiences.
